This sofa features a strong and graceful silhouette and is framed by two armrests that were inspired by the hot air balloon invented by the Montgolfier brothers.
The cushions feature images from the Globe Trotter fresco and evoke the idea of fantastic journeys.

Marcel Wanders is one of the most talented designers of his generation; his works are exhibited in very prestigious museums such as the MoMA in New York and San Francisco, the V&A Museum in London and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Cleverly combining historical references and imaginary expeditions, Marcel Wanders imagined for Roche Bobois a collection – like a journey - that is both romantic and poetic.
