Aaron Axelrod performance
Roche Bobois Los Angeles was delighted to host the opening event for DIEM, in partnership with Modern Luxury magazines.
DIEM (Design Intersects Everything Made) is an annual event where professionals from the worlds of design, decorative arts, fashion and architecture come together to exchange ideas about a specific issue.
This year’s theme was ‘The Future is Now.’
On this occasion, artist Aaron Axelrod set up a large canvas in the middle of the shop and created an art piece live at the event, allowing guests to view the creative process take place from start to finish.
As a painter, video artist and sculptor, Aaron Axelrod is especially interested in the interaction of painting in public places.
He is eclectic and is just as likely to be inspired by Dr. Seuss (American writer and illustrator) as he is by Walt Disney or the Wu-Tang Clan.
He is well-known and renowned for his spectacular shows and live performances.
During the evening, he also customised two BADIANE armchairs which will soon be auctioned, with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity the ‘Art of Elysium.’
