Jean Paul Gaultier Retrospective Exhibition in Munich
After its tour of Montreal, London, Brooklyn, San Francisco and Paris, Roche Bobois is proud to sponsor the The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier, From Catwalk to Sidewalk at the Kunsthalle in Munich. The exhibition will take place, from 18th september 2015 to 14th August 2016, showcasing a retrospective of the world renowned French fashion designer's work.
Dating from the 1970s to present day, this display of unreleased pieces from both Gaultier’s Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear collections, invites visitors to rediscover the work of one of the most remarkable designers of our time.
Commenting on the partnership, Jean Paul Gaultier announced:
‘Dressing furniture for Roche Bobois has been an exciting exploration of creative ground for me. I have always loved creatively dressing models and furniture but at least with the latter they don’t complain when you accidentally jab them with a pin!’ The couturier added, "I am so pleased that Roche Bobois has continued to support this exhibition as it travels the world".

Having previously sponsored this prestigious exhibition’s displays at the Brooklyn Museum in New York, at the Barbican in London and at the Grand Palais in Paris, Roche Bobois’ decision to support the retrospective further helps to support an artist with whom the brand shares the same values of innovation, creativity and modernity.
