Maurizio Manzoni, born in Nuoro in 1967, graduated with a degree in Architecture in Florence in 1994 and in 1999 he was appointed Adjunct Professor at the University of Florence, for the Course of Design and Survey and Fabric Diagnostics (Costume and Fashion - Department of Industrial Design). He then worked with the brand Lancia, on a project entitled 'Design invisible' aimed at creating the concept car “Dialogos”. His wide-range of work includes: Interior Architecture, Graphic Design, Stand Exhibitions, Fabric Design, and both interior and exterior Design for Motor Boats and Sailing Yachts. He works with the world’s industry-leading companies in Italy and abroad: Alberta, Arketipo, Cantori, Cattelan Italia, Dema, Difer, Enne, Esedra Suites, Fendi Casa, Fiam, Luilor, Kenzo Maison, Ycami, La Falegnami, Lancia,Ligne Roset, MDF Italia, Mercedes Benz Style, Mohm, Natuzzi Italia, Pedrali, Quintessence by Valdichienti, Roche Bobois, Steiner-Paris, Treca Interiors, Visionnaire Home Philosophy... He founded StudioMEMO with the Designer Prof. Roberto Tapinassi in Florence, in 2001. The two Designers found common ground in wanting to offer new solutions for contemporary living issues by applying the logic of Italian Design—work, which is purposeful and well-established in research. StudioMEMO, with the skills of the designers Federico Visani and Federica Francini and all the staff, is an open study and depends on continuous research and collaborations between industry professionals with various experiences sets and expertise. StudioMEMO is able to successfully address every type of design need as it relates to the course of normal design procedure- relying on prototypists and technical consultants to ensure that no project issues go unsolved. StudioMEMO emphases the importance of ‘openness to constructive and sincere dialogue between both their internal and many external collaborators.’
