Unique and eclectic, this collection was inspired by the legendary adventurers and explorers who were passionate about collecting rare objects and discovering new cultures. It showcases Marcel Wanders' characteristic openness, freedom and inspiration. A large illustrated fresco, inspired by the characters and worlds from our favourite childhood stories, is the signature feature used throughout the entire collection. Marcel Wanders is one of the most talented designers of his generation; his works are exhibited in very prestigious museums such as the MoMA in New York and San Francisco, the V&A Museum in London and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Cleverly combining historical references and imaginary expeditions, Marcel Wanders imagined for Roche Bobois a collection – like a journey - that is both romantic and poetic.
