Eugeni Quitllet

Trained at La Llotja school of Art and Design in Barcelona, this Catalan designer has collaborated with Philippe Starck with whom he co-created some 50 projects. Eugeni Quittlet’s creative vocabulary encompasses more than the relationship between function and style. At the intersection of design, sculpture and contemporary archaeology, he literally reveals forms hidden in matter in an elegant interplay of fullness and emptiness. For Roche Bobois, he designed Pulp - a collection of furniture and chairs with a biomorphic aesthetic. Inspired by the living world, Pulp draws on the dissociation of elements: the designer envisioned each piece as a cluster of molecules.
