Considered as one of the most important contemporary art fairs, once a year, over the course of a week, Art Basel Miami brings together many professionals and amateurs of the art world. For the 2016 edition in partnership with Ocean Drive magazine, Roche Bobois led a stunning art project, enlisting the help of Heidi Klum, Venus Williams as well as four American street artists: Kelly “Risk” Graval, Santiago Rubino, Typoe and Ahol.
The six personalities were invited to express their creativity on an iconic piece of the brand: the Furtif desk. The six works were unveiled at the grand opening of the exhibition, titled “The Furtif Art Project”. For the occasion, Roche Bobois opened a temporary gallery in the Wynwood area, near the Design District, famous for its various street-art style murals. The artist Vandal also decorated one of the exterior walls of the gallery.
The six original creations were the object of an auction, the proceeds of which went to two charities: Lotus House, one of the most important charities in Miami and UNICEF, of which Heidi Klum is a patron.
