Echoing the name of the sofas, the Up floor lamp is a loose interpretation of a hot air balloon.
It sits on a concrete base that supports the lamp and also seems to be keeping it from flying away.

Designer
Marcel Wanders is one of the most talented designers of his generation; his works are exhibited in very prestigious museums such as the MoMA in New York and San Francisco, the V&A Museum in London and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Cleverly combining historical references and imaginary expeditions, Marcel Wanders imagined for Roche Bobois a collection – like a journey - that is both romantic and poetic.
Roche Bobois is celebrating a design icon: the Ovalia armchair conceived by Danish designer Henrik Thor-Larsen in 1968.
