Vanessa Mitrani est une figure à part dans le champ de la création. Experte du verre, qu’elle travaille sous diverses formes, elle revendique son statut de designer en signant des collections cohérentes où chaque pièce est unique puisqu’issue d’un processus aléatoire. Elle collabore depuis 1999 avec Roche Bobois avec qui elle présente chaque année une nouvelle collection de pièces exclusives. Son savoir-faire, sa grande maîtrise technique et son sens artistique lui ouvrent les portes du musée des Arts-Décoratifs en 2015, où huit de ses pièces emblématiques entrent dans les collections permanentes.
