Design Maurice Barilone

"Non-conforming Franco-Italian designer Maurice Barilone uses his talent to create sculptural furniture pieces that showcase the materials used. The Fleur de fer collection is a perfect example of his work: starting from a thick sheet of steel that is cut with a torch and stretched, the base has the strength of wrought iron and the intentional irregularities. It's an iconic collection by Roche Bobois.

The dining table is available with a round, oval or rectangular glass top.

Wrought beaten iron base with epoxy acrylic patina (4 colours available: green, blue, rust, black). Crude steel with varnish or black brushed varnish finish. 15mm-thick tempered glass or extra clear tempered glass top (also available in other dimensions).

Maurice Barilone

Maurice Barilone believes that it is the role of the designer to “to reveal the element in every object that brings it alive”. A non-conformist approach and an unerring passion for his art have led to the creation of a number of highly sculptural collections for Roche Bobois during Barilone’s 30-year partnership with the company, including the Kyoto range and Murano tables.
