PULP
Dining armchair in stained ash wood

Design Eugeni Quitllet

PULP is the first collaboration between Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet and Roche Bobois: a collection of tables, chairs and armchairs with a biomorphic aesthetic, without straight lines, and embellished with refined finishes.
Inspired by living creatures, the collection is based on the principle of dissociation: the designer imagined each piece of furniture as an assembly of molecules.
In terms of materials, PULP presents two versions of the same story:
- in glossy lacquer, it showcases the plasticity of forms. Creamy white, Jaipur burgundy or chic black, each color evokes a gourmet material.
- In solid FSC® ash wood and flamed veneer, it shows us how time polishes and rounds the angles of a driftwood.

The seats share the same inspiration: seat, backrest and armrests seem to come from a cellular division, as in a growing body. The seat seems suspended above the tapered base, a reference to Scandinavian design.
