At Roche Bobois, sustainability is not an intention, it is a core value that shapes the way we design, produce, and bring our collections to life. We view design as a balance of aesthetics, innovation, and responsibility. Every piece must embody the brand’s creativity and craftsmanship while minimizing its environmental impact.
From the earliest stages of creation, we integrate eco-design principles: responsible material sourcing, optimized forms and volumes to reduce transport impact, and careful consideration of repairability and end-of-life.
We choose materials from responsible supply chains: FSC® or PEFC™-certified solid wood from sustainably managed forests, eco-labeled and responsibly sourced fabrics, and more. Each component is selected with rigor to ensure quality, durability, and respect for natural resources.
We continually work to reduce the environmental impact of our production through optimized logistics, shorter transport distances, and careful management of our carbon footprint.
This overall philosophy is part of an active and transparent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy. It involves every Roche Bobois team across the entire value chain—from eco-design to distribution, including logistics and showroom development. Each year, we publish a detailed report outlining our commitments, tangible actions, and progress, available through the links below.
