Building on its successful refurnishing of the Louvre Montana Hotel in Paris, Roche Bobois Contract Paris unveils a new collaboration with architect Philippe Maidenberg: furnishing and decorating the 65 rooms of Quinzerie hotel, located at 40 rue de la Convention in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.
For this project, several pieces of furniture were custom-made: headboards, solid oak armoires, desks fusing oak and brass, metal bedside tables with leather upholstery, and copper-mirror vanities.
The architect came up with two strong concepts: the first is expressed in the combination of light wooden tones with an interplay of mirrors and brass details on the headboard and vanity.
The second concept taps into a pared-back, elegant aesthetic. The headboard draws the gaze like a painting, with its grey oak panelling that alternates between horizontal and vertical lines.
This superb yet challenging project required months of meticulous work to perfect the designs, liaise with the manufacturing studios, handle production and logistics, and communicate with the various stakeholders. The outcome truly highlights the architect's creativity and the unique expertise of the teams working at Roche Bobois Contract Paris.
