Song Wen Zhong

A graduate of the Beijing Art Academy, Song Wen Zhong’s talent has garnered recognition through several awards in both China and Europe. He won the first edition of the Roche Bobois Design Award based on the theme of “Nature, universal link between East and West”. For Roche Bobois, he designed Ava — a chair that weaves together Chinese symbolism, advanced technology, and environmental responsibility. Made of polycarbonate injection derived from recycled industrial waste, the matte version is manufactured without any new oil-based materials. Since his early collaboration with Roche Bobois, Song Wen Zhong has opened his own design studio in his hometown of Chengdu.
