Last September, Jean Paul Gaultier was in Montreal to celebrate the record-setting success of the international exhibition The fashion world of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, organized by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, through an exceptional evening inspired by « LOVE IS LOVE » : Wedding Bliss for All, an exclusive installation gathering 36 haute-couture bridal gowns created by the French designer between 1990 and 2017.
That evening, the Museum surprised the guest with the presentation of “Another Feather in Her Bonnet”, a new performance by Canadian artist Ken Monkman initiated by the MMFA and executed with the special participation of Jean Paul Gaultier.
(Upon arrival,) 400 members and guests were immersed into a refined atmosphere with audacious and elegant décor thanks to the Roche Bobois lounge. All pieces of furniture presented that night were specifically selected to highlight the long term collaboration between the brand and the “Enfant Terrible” of fashion. The Ben Hur armchairs, the iconic Mah Jong sofa, the Profile sofa dressed in Jean Paul Gaultier fabrics, as well as decoration items from the collection by Jean Paul Gaultier for Roche Bobois offered the ideal setting for this exceptional evening.
